NYX Born To Glow

The more I’m getting to know the NYX brand, the more I’m finding some very good products indeed, including the illuminator above. NXY has its origins as a brand in make up artistry, so was born as a professional range for make up artists which becomes more obvious with discoveries like Born To Glow.

NYX Born To Glow

It’s a very silky feeling illuiminator, with pink-gold elements to it that blends seamlessly into moisturiser, BB or foundation to give the complexion a little lift. I don’t find it too shimmery, just lightful and pretty. You could just as easily add a drop or two to body moisturiser to get a subtle skin gleam.

When you think of the arm and a leg prices of some liquid illuminators, £7 doesn’t really seem a lot to pay for NYX Born To Glow and if I am to liken it to anything, it would be Benefit High Beam which is £19.50. You can find it HERE.

  1. Ooo, that is gorgeous indeed. I’m all about that glow at the moment and obsessed with Mac Strobe cream and Becca liquid illuminators but this looks like a fab, cheaper alternative.

  4. I am very keen on NYX products and have had to send off to the US to get them. I can vouch for the Chunky Dunk lipsticks, and I’m very fond of their long-lasting twist-up eyeliners (non-smudgy and stay the day on my hooded eyelids). I’ve found them very good value.

Looks like good value but not for me as I don’t like illuminators on my face. By the way Jane, what happened to your other fab blog The Beauty Plus????? Pls bring it back!!!

Thanks Kim – Beauty Plus.. good question! Basically, running two blogs was just too much to do either terribly well.. and since BBB is for all ages and always has been, it just didn’t make sense to try to ring fence the older community, when really I think they’re served well on BBB. Anyway, it all still exists but I am taking my time in thinking about what to do with it for the future.

  7. I am definitely intrigued by this, but I have oily/combination skin as well, so my curiosity might hold until the cooler weather.
