Launching in September is a new make up range from singer, Beverley Knight. Formulated specially for girls with dark skin, the range launches at Selfridges initially and then rolls out to John Lewis. This is great news, because unlike in the States where darker skins are catered to as standard, it’s still too much of a niche market here.

Thanks for posting about this. I really don’t know why darker skintones aren’t catered for on the high street. Maybelline is the only ‘high street’ brand that dared put out a foundation for black skin and props to them for doing so.
With the success of Sleek’s relaunch you’d think the other brands would sit up and take notice (Yes I’m talking to you REVLON – will you start flippin’ stocking Colorstay foundation beyond Tan please so I don’t have to make a point of looking for it 3000+ miles away in NY or on Ebay!). Asian and black girls spend a lot of money on make up too.
Assuming BK’s prices are gonna be mid-range to be stocked in Selfridges & later John Lewis I think she’d have even greater success by challenging Sleeks throne as the brand dark skinned girls go to for a cheap make up fix.

I’ve been trawling the blogosphere for an hour or so looking for info on new products for black skin so this is great news! Looking forward to the launch.
