As part of the Dior Pump ‘n’ Volume Mascara Release (for us in the UK it’s May) there are also three new Dior 5 Couleurs Palettes. They’re not particularly ground-breaking but if you like a nude palette, then two of them may perk your interest. Above is Touch – a cafe au lait, matte selection that’s eye-brightening and awakening. When I tested it, I used the little brushes that come with the palette and was impressed with the brush that did a very decent blend even though it’s doll-sized.
I’ve used a much lighter touch on my eye than in the swatch so, it’s definitely buildable and if you like nudes, and are warm toned (there is a lot of yellow undertone in this palette), it’s all kinds of useful.
Undress has slightly more peachy elements – the deeper brown has shimmer elements and the peach shade has a sheen. Overall, it’s less yellow undertoned but still a nude/coffee palette.
Of the two, I personally prefered Touch.
ALLLL of the sparkle went into Defy! It’s a steely grey mix of matte and high shimmer – if you love a black/grey toned smoky eye, this is the one for you. It’s pretty powerful, pigment wise (quite a lot of drop on the shimmers – do your eyes before your base on this one) – I used the lighter silver shade as a wash of sparkle over the lighter grey. You really do only need the tiniest amount.
I love a smoky eye so this is my favourite of the three. All the palettes are £45 each.
