New Dior 5 Couleurs Palettes

Dior 5 Couleur Palette: TOUCH

As part of the Dior Pump ‘n’ Volume Mascara Release (for us in the UK it’s May) there are also three new Dior 5 Couleurs Palettes. They’re not particularly ground-breaking but if you like a nude palette, then two of them may perk your interest.  Above is Touch – a cafe au lait, matte selection that’s eye-brightening and awakening. When I tested it, I used the little brushes that come with the palette and was impressed with the brush that did a very decent blend even though it’s doll-sized.

I’ve used a much lighter touch on my eye than in the swatch so, it’s definitely buildable and if you like nudes, and are warm toned (there is a lot of yellow undertone in this palette), it’s all kinds of useful.

New Dior 5 Couleurs Palettes: UNDRESS

Undress has slightly more peachy elements – the deeper brown has shimmer elements and the peach shade has a sheen. Overall, it’s less yellow undertoned but still a nude/coffee palette.

Of the two, I personally prefered Touch.

Dior 5 Couleur Palette: DEFY

ALLLL of the sparkle went into Defy! It’s a steely grey mix of matte and high shimmer – if you love a black/grey toned smoky eye, this is the one for you. It’s pretty powerful, pigment wise (quite a lot of drop on the shimmers – do your eyes before your base on this one)  – I used the lighter silver shade as a wash of sparkle over the lighter grey. You really do only need the tiniest amount.

I love a smoky eye so this is my favourite of the three. All the palettes are £45 each.

Dior palettes have been very hit or miss in recent years. I have recently bought two from new season’s collections and they have improved so much.

Loving the nude ones so will def checkout when they hit the counters.

  2. At last a grey palette which has none of the dreaded brown!!! Will I remember it’s out there in May … who knows!

I just found these have hit Sephora! Dream looks much pinker on the Sephora website, too bad it doesnt seem so pink in real life(to be exact, in your photos lol) Thank you so much for the info, I have been looking all over for swatches! I previously owned a shimmer palette from Dior and didnt really enjoy it, but the new matte one is tempting me to give Dior another shot 🙂
