Up until now, I’ve mainly used my Blackberry camera for the blog – more because I always have my phone with me so it’s just been for convenience’s sake. But, with the arrival of a new Blackberry – a long over-due upgrade – the new integral camera is beyond awful. So, even with my low standard for pictures, it is simply not useable. Bearing in mind that any camera I use is going to be treated badly by being chucked in my handbag every day and generally roughed around, I wanted something cheap and cheerful that would still deliver on picture quality. What I didn’t want was a really complicated camera with a million options, fat lenses or multiple capabilities – just a point and press with a reliable picture at the end of it. So, for £60 (usual price £90) I picked up the FujiFilm FinePix JV170 and it’s perfect. I’d easily recommend it as ‘blogging’ camera and for those like me who can’t face learning the complex technology of yet another gadget.
