NARS Tropical Princess
NARS Tropical Princess

This is my favourite item from the NARS Summer 2014 collection – Tropical Princess Duo Eyeshadow. Two shades that probably shouldn’t go together but totally do! The lime shade is a real pop of colour, while the lilac is a little more gentle – both are shimmery.

Personally, I’m not sure I could wear them together, but I’ll definitely give them a go separately.

NARS Lost Coast

Lost Coast Duo Eyeshadow is altogether more gentle; a gold-pewter shade alongside a light lilac.

The swatch is all four shades from both Duos.

NARS Malacca

Malacca is a funny one. I’m not sure I get it in context with everything else; although it looks a flat grey, it’s got elements of iridescence and purple/blue hints.

Even in the swatch, it’s hard to capture the other, more vibrant tones in Malacca so I’m not sure it would work terribly well on the eye. However, if you’re after a grey-with-more, this is it. I’ve added in this iPhone pic which can give you more of an idea of the shimmer but it only happens in bright or artificial light.

NARS Baalbeck Eye Paint is a golden green shade; NARS call it bronze but I’d say it’s a little more than that.

So, that’s it for NARS Summer 2014! What do you think? There is a lot of NARS newness right now so expect more NARS during the week. It’s all scheduled for a May counter date.
