I’ve been waiting to post on NARS Contour Blush for what seems like ever, but I’ve finally got a couple of samples through now so can show you. I think the whole contouring revival is down to the YouTubers and their amazing beauty tutorials which means that what was the preserve of make up artists (because there is definitely an art to contouring) is now available to everyone if you know what to do. Wayne Goss has a spectacular video HERE but it is Kardashian inspired so you’re warned!
NARS Contour Blush comes in three shades – Olympia in ivory and rose, Paloma in pink beige and deep rose and Gienah in honey and amber. I must stay that Paloma (on the left) doesn’t look rose toned to me; it’s more tan and Gienah is really quite dark. Instructions for NARS Contour Blush are simple: apply the deeper shade to the hollows of the cheeks and the hairline, and sweep the light shade across the cheekbone toward the temple to soften and highlight. I am SURE it ain’t that easy!
I am not a contourer – I have never contoured in my whole life, but it looks like I’m going to have to give it a go.
NARS Contour Blush launches on 1st April on a Selfridges exclusive and then nationwide from 15th April for £30 each.
