When Nails Inc first released their new bottles, I was a little bit meh about them. Now I’m starting to see that they’ve truly marked the brand out as a leader, not a follower. They’re weighty with a very luxurious look and feel to them – if you have more than one they clunk together in a very satisfying way! Nails Inc The New White is a spin on white nails. Everyone knows, no matter what Chanel says, that white nails look like they’ve been Tippexed. There just isn’t any getting away from that… and unless it is applied to absolute perfection, can look really ropey. Nails Inc The New White are the softest pastels with a great deal of white in them – just not, thankfully, pure white.
Don’t they look edible?! Aside from the grey shade, if you told me these were freshly melted drops of sorbet, I’d believe it. So, the colours are: Whitehall (peach), Lilly Road (pink), White Horse Street (grey) and Swan Street (mint).
With any pastel shades, it’s always wise to add an undercoat of white so that you get the proper density of colour. Some pastels struggle with evenness depending on the natural shade of your nail. These, in my view, need to be solid colour tips without a single streak to look their best.
I think that Nails Inc The New White Collection is one of their best of recent years – they’ve made me want to paint my walls in polish! The collection launches in March and the polishes are £14 each.
