It’s all change for Nails Inc with a big, shiny new re-brand. So far, the star of the show is Alexa Lace named for the new face of Nails Inc Alexa Chung. I was about to say I am not sure why they needed a face, when they did fine before without one, and then realised Alexa is replacing Poppy Delevigne – ooops! I’m just not sure how relevant ‘faces’ are any more. Anyway, back to Nails Inc Alexa Lace.
Lace is a new nail effect, comprising tiny, tiny shards of glitter, both straight and round that goes onto the nail irregularly, creating a kind of lace effect. I tried it over bare nails and it looked awful – but then popped it over white polish and it looks fab! If you’re going to try this, I’d strongly advise using a white base – it’s the difference between a succesful look and not. I’ve used just one generous coat over the white. I am sure there will be other shades coming – would love to see it in black.
Nails Inc Alexa Lace launches in June for £12.

I love nail polish and colour. I’m not afraid to wear any colour but enough with these awful effects. They look cheap, childish and so not chic. I never see anyone wearing them, even in the nail bars!!
This is really beautiful, I’m really impressed!
