Murad Multi-Vitamin Clear Coat SPF50 Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I’m so admiring of the clever textures that modern SPFs are bringing us – the Murad Multi-Vitamin Clear Coat SPF50 is no different although you’ll need to give it a few minutes to settle on the skin before you realise just how pleasant this is.

If you like your SPF to feel creamy – like a face cream – this isn’t for you. It has a kind of lightness that feels silky but oily at first, maybe more like a primer, and yes, you will be shiny for a couple of minutes. However, that feeling soon passes and just the silkiness remains. I actually love the feeling of it but the first 60 seconds was touch and go.

There’s more to this formula than just straightforward SPF – a bio-ferment offers environmental protection, vitamin C keeps free radicals at bay and chia seed helps to strengthen the skin barrier. So, it’s acting like skin care in many ways but offering a big hit of sun protection. As seems to be standard now, the packaging states that you need to top up every two hours – suddenly, this is appearing on all SPFs but again, I remain confused about whether it needs topping up every two hours if you’re on the beach or it needs topping up every two hours if you’re just going about your daily business in an office. More beauty befuddlement to make our way through! Anyway, I will challenge you to be able to stop marvelling at how silky your skin feels wearing Murad Multi-Vitamin Clear Coat SPF50. It’s £42 HERE.

  1. I love the new generation of sunscreens with high-spec skincare ingredients! In the summer I like to use SPF as the final stage of my routine and I’m now confident to switch out some earlier stages given the amount of active ingredients now appearing in sunscreen formulas. With the Vitamin C and botanicas in this SPF I would happily skip using a similar essence or serum.
