Mou Boots New Love

I’m obsessed with my new Mou Boots – for a shortie like me they’re the answer to a prayer! I know it’s boiling outside but I am always an early-bird for autumn/winter, clothes wise (sometimes this doesn’t pay off – namely with the Zara coat that everyone was wearing last year – leather arms, boucle body? – that one.. I took mine back after getting on a train where four women were all wearing that coat) and I am SO glad to have discovered these boots. Move over Uggs!

Every year is a boot nightmare for me – I love tall, suede over the knee boots – but impractical for walking the dogs and honestly, this happens, weird men come up to you and ask if they can touch them. I have a really horrible feeling that my eff off reply was exactly what they wanted.. *shudder*. My beloved Fitflop Tall boots aren’t even in production any more and I can’t make them last another year (although I’ve sourced an ’emergency’ pair from Ebay) and they make me look short (well, I am, er, short). So I couldn’t be more thrilled with my Mous.

What is just genius about these is the concealed 5cm wedge – small enough so you can walk properly but tall enough so you get some height and length to your legs. Inside, it’s double-faced sheepskin with a crochet wool seam so no chilly feet ever again, and an outdoor sole.

I have them in black because I wear so much black but there are other colours too… I cannot wait to slip into a sloppy cashmere sweater, jeans and these boots. They’re pricey at over £200 but I will wear them pretty much every day. Autumn, I’m so ready for you!

  1. these look so comfy and cosy!!

  2. Its fair to say these probably won’t have the sex appeal your over-the-knee boots seem to have. Then again, you live in London so I don’t doubt there’s some one out there who gets his jollies from footwear worthy of Nanook of the North. *hehehe*
