I’ve definitely inherited the bathing gene from my mum who is almost religious about a daily bath. I don’t think she has ever used a shower in her whole life other than a hand-held for hair washing. So, she’s easy to buy for when it comes to beauty treats for mother’s day. I love doing posts like this where I can pick a fantasy list of gorgeous things – in real life she will probably ask for something practical like a garden fork, but I’ll be sneaking something pampering in anyway. So, first up is the Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax (£39) which is one of my all-time favourites and I’m always trying to convert anyone who’ll listen to the fact that you will not have a better night’s sleep than after this! She would say it’s far too expensive – I would say it’s worth every last penny!
Next up, I’d be picking her out a new lipstick. My mum wears lipstick every day – I can’t think of a day where she hasn’t worn any, even if she doesn’t wear any other make-up. And, bearing in mind she is in her seventies, she’s quite adventurous with colours. Above is Atrappe Coeur from the Guerlain Meteories Blossom Collection of Rouge Automatique which is a pretty coral-pink that she would love. It’s £25.
Posh soaps are definitely right up my mum’s street, so Nina Ricci’s L’Air du Temps soap is something she’d use and love using as well. I refuse to buy her face cream for any special days, such as birthdays or Mother’s day (she can have her pick of my samples anyway) because I always want her to have something she wouldn’t normally buy for herself. I remember her having the Nina Ricci L’Air du Temps fragrance so I’m delighted to have found this.
Anyway, this is all leading up to saying that you can get all or any of these with 10% off at FeelUnique by clicking the Feel Unique Mother’s Day ad in my side bar. Basically, with the code on the ad, you get 10% off anything so you might want to throw in a few treats-to-self, too ;-).
