Aha! I’ve finally had a close up look at the beauty range from Michael Kors. Very sleek, very chic and very wearable. Split into three ranges, Glam, Sexy and Sporty you can see from the Lip Lustre swatches above that they’re very sheer – there are no shouty shades in this range because it’s just make-up you don’t really have to think about.Michael Kors Lip Lacquer
Even the deepest shade (Dame) in the Lip Lacquer is sheer enough to not feel full on or over the top. Personally, I like understated glamour – it’s the best thing not to worry that your lipstick is wearing away or is too bright or too loud – to just know that you look polished and well presented is sometimes quite enough. Lip Lacquers will cost £23 each while Lip Lustres will cost £21.Michael Kors Nail Polish
Nail polishes go through the range from deepest vampy dark violet to a milky white – obviously my favourite is going to be Hint in nude.. I’ll get this swatched as soon as I possibly can. It was all I could do not to put it on there and then! Nail polishes will cost £15 each.
There’s also a body range to compliment the three fragrances (which genuinely are lovely); Sexy Amber, Glam Jasmine and Sporty Citrus are completely wearable – and they won’t wear you. These will cost £38/30ml. Body products include bath pearls and a shimmer dry oil.
Elizabeth Arden Hyaluronic Acid Ceramide Capsules
I’d be prepared to put money down to bet that you won’t have experienced a skin care texture like this before...
In a nutshell, the Michael Kors range falls somewhere between Aerin and Estee Lauder. It’s pared back and elegant but with some life to it. Expect to see it from September.
I’ll swatch the lipsticks at a later date.
