Oh hello! This seems a very unlikely pairing – Meghan Trainor for Clinique! What’s going on?
Meghan Trainor has worked with Clinique to produce a limited edition make up bag and curated her own favourites from the Clinique range – as far as I can tell right now, it’s on-line and US only, but we may well get it here in the UK. The bag itself is a GWP with a $30 purchase (you only get the bag, not the products she’s curated). If you’re US based, it’s HERE.
But is it so unlikely, now I think about it. Part of Meghan’s appeal is that she isn’t – as she says in her Bass lyrics – “no stick figure, silicone Barbie doll” so I guess it’s Clinique’s way of saying that they’re for everyone and that beauty is subjective. Meghan’s a regular girl (albeit a very talented one) and does represent a modern face of beauty – perfect imperfections (coined from Illamasqua).
So, for right now, the bag will be available with a purchase over $30, US only. I’ll keep you updated if we get some of this booty here ;-).

Seems like brands are trying to get ’em while they’re young. Lauder with Kendall Jenner and Clinique with Meghan. Both brands I wouldn’t ever have associated with the tween market.
I think you might be onto something there. There is lots of historical marketing theory which was to “get them young” because brand loyalty is priceless. I thought things might change with social media etc, but guess not.

I’m looking forward to your update as this sounds really interesting!

This is so random! One of the most bizarre pairings I’ve come across in years… Meghan is kind of love-or-loathe, but definitely ‘of the moment’. It’s surprising to see a ‘safe’ brand like Clinique adopting a celeb I’d associate more with Barry M or Models Own. Interesting to say the least…
Wow what a strange “combo” , shame they didn’t have it over here though. xox

I’m life long lover of Clinique – my dad bought me my first bottle of Dramatically Different Moisturiser. Having MT as their it girl puts me right off. I think that song is horrible and it just perpetuates the us vs. them when it comes to women of different sizes while the music execs rub their hands with glee. I think the parody of this song by Bart Barker has more accurate lyrics ‘why are you basing you self worth off of pleasing dudes’. Exactly – okay rant over!
This would really turn me off clinique because I and a lot of other people really dislike meghan trainer and what she stands for. It really wasn’t a wise marketing choice if i’m honest.

I love this combo just because it is so unlikely and because I think Meghan is fab x
I’m with Anette here. From MT’s lyrics:’Go ahead and tell them skinny bitches Hey’. That’s not ok.
