I just thought I would share what happened when I met Alex Box yesterday. Okay, so it’s THE Alex Box, the make-up artist that makes everyone go weak at the knees because she is soooooo awesome. We’d just started chatting (about holidays) and I was leading up to asking her some make-up questions when a massive filling fell out of my tooth. I didn’t flinch.. I didn’t.. but all of a sudden with a hunk of metal in my mouth, I couldn’t really speak that well. All I could manage really was ‘hmmm’ and tried to put some interested intonation into it, with vigorous encouraging head-nods. I tucked this brick of amalgan under my tongue and tried to ask a question.. but it sounded as though I was talking with my mouth full.. arghh.. so embarrassing, so I just kind of .. er.. drifted away from her….
BBBFAIL!

Oh Jane. That’s a mega fail. I love Alex Box, she’s one of my heroes, I love her style and her talent and love that she’s so down to earth. I had a chat to her whilst she was breastfeeding baby last night, which I wasn’t expecting to happen.
Now that is multi tasking (and a little distracting!)
Oh the horror! I have nightmares about any meeting going like this. I would of done the same and got out ASAP!

I met Alex Box also, it was about 3 years ago, and I literally couldn’t talk for about 10 minutes, I was sweating and stuttering and I was a complete mess. I used to live in Dubai, so it was at the Bloomingdale’s where Illamasqua was having an event, but it was a couple of hours before the event and I didn’t realise she’d be there.. Anywho, she even offered to do my makeup and I obviously said yes, who’d pass on Alex Box doing your makeup? I still smile when I think about it 😀
