Maybelline Baby Lips
I think I’d have to say that the Maybelline Baby Lips line is more scent that colour, despite the fact that there looks like there might be colour in the bullet. Even at a tint level, I struggled to find any colour at all. However, if you love a blast of scent to your balms, then the newer Baby Lips might be the perfect thing to keep summer going in your mind with Peach Punch and Melon Mania.
Maybelline Baby LipsIf it’s colour that you’re after, we need to keep everything crossed that we get the Maybelline Baby Lips glosses in the UK – they’re going down an absolute storm in the US, as have the Maybelline Liquid Lipsticks (seen backstage at Jason Wu). I never took Babylips as a serious balm, just a fun thing really, but I’ve been cruising around on the Maybelline US site and there are some decent claims on it – after a week 88% had smoother lips and 82% had less dry lips (self assesements). I’ll stick to my beloved Lanolips but I was really surprised by those results. I don’t have a launch date for the fragrance line extension – I expect they’re everywhere by now.

I bought a hydrating baby lips a few years back now and I didn’t rate it whatsoever. It felt really watery on the lips and in fact dried them out more that hydrate them. I’ve never bought one since and can’t understand they hype.
Lanolips for night, Baby Lips for daytime and affordable to have one in every bag! I actually get a tint from the cherry one but it is the brightest in the tube I think.
