Yes, yes, yes to these petals of nude colour; ultra-sheer washes of gloss that make a ‘me-but-better’ effect on the lip. If you’re a nude gloss fan, the Colour Elixir Gloss, created by Caroline Barnes for Max Factor, is irresistible. And, if you hate sticky gloss, that box is ticked because they aren’t in the least bit tacky – very silky, in fact, and light on the lip.
Caroline’s inspiration is romance and if you’re wondering about the name, Pomade, it’s referencing the very first Max Factor lip gloss, Lip Pomade.
So, you can see in the swatches, they’re absolute hints – a glossy lip with a little something and it’s keying right into fresh trends for spring and summer. You will need to reapply quite regularly. From bottom to top: Radiant Rose, Glowing Peach, Pristine Nude and Lustrous Sand. The glosses are launching into Boots on 19th February for £7.99.
There will be more Lip Elixirs launching in July 2014.
