I’m a little late in catching up with the news of the mini Fantasy Fire polish that has become one of the most sought after holo nail varnishes in the world right now. And, why? Because apparently it is a dupe of Clarins 230, a now discontinued shade that sells for upwards of $50 a bottle on Ebay. Even Fantasy Fire has been seen selling for over £20 and it’s a teeny bottle!
But, I’ve managed to secure a bottle – in fact it is the one that Max Factor used to feature in photographs of the range, so it’s a little bit famous all on its own! Max Factor have been taken by surprise, selling six months worth of stock in three weeks, so the shade is very, very hard to find.
Okay, so I’m going to make this a really quick giveaway closing Friday. All you have to do is rename Fantasy Fire – if you’d invented that shade, what would you have called it?

I’d probably rename it Dragon’s Scale lol it reminds me of the mood rings I used to love when I was younger and actually thought they were made from dragon’s scales ^_^

I’d call it ‘Bursting Violets’, because it’s so purple it makes you think of a violet scent and it looks like as if they were chucked in the Sun and bursted with the heat and fire!:) Lovely giveaway, thank you! xx

I would call it “Huldre”, because colors like this always makes me think of these beautiful, mysterious and dangerously alluring Wood Nymph’s.
I’m sure that the Huldre herself would choose this color for her nails.

I’d call it Cosmic Pleasure. Having painted nails is always a pleasure and the colour makes me think of what a solar explosion would look like in deepest space – an explosion of electric colour against a dark and inky sky as backdrop. I am @beautymaze on Twitter.

As rather straightforward as this may sound, I would rename it “Galaxy Hearth”. The wild spectrum of colours are certainly reminiscent of the galaxy with its multiple array of stars and milkways while the glowing shimmer reminds me of a hearth that still holds the spark! I love this polish so much, so many beautiful shades! I’d rename it ‘Celestial Cosmos’ as it just makes me think of the solar system, space & the universe when I look at it. It’s got the endless depth to it that makes it look like you could stare into it forever, like staring into space.

I’d call it ‘Alpha’. It could connotate alpha females and the lucky few who have managed to track it down. Alpha rays and that radioactive, toxic, distorted glimmer look. Or alpha as in the Greek letter A and all that myth and magic. Apparently though the Greeks didn’t have words for colour so the fact this is so multi tonal could be quite ironic.
Or actually call it Unicorn Pee… ;p
