Translucent polishes are a matter of preference, I think. Personally, I don’t like it when you can see the edge through polish – I like my nails completely covered. If you’re like me and don’t really buy into these see through colour washes, try painting them over white polish – they really pop! The Mavala Jelly Effects collection has six syrupy shades and they’re gorgeous summery splashes of colour.
Because I’ve painted them onto a white nail wheel, they look more popping than they actually would do on the natural colour of the nail so do bear that in mind.
