My lovely friend Nadine brought this back for me from New York recently, so finally, I have a chance to try it out. Firstly, the packaging is beautiful – it feels and looks very premium and at $28 so it should! This shade is Sweet Escape and is a sheer nude. For a ‘sheer’, it gives quite a lot of coverage. The most striking thing though is how minty the formula is – like, nearly stinging-minty!
The formula in the swatch has gone a bit bubbly – but it certainly doesn’t end up that way on the lip once you’ve run the wand over a couple of times and it gives a beautiful sheen. Marc Jacobs Lust For Lacquer Lip Vinyl is ticking all the boxes for a perfect nude lip (although tone down the mint, Marc!) so it’s all the more annoying we don’t have it in the UK. Drat.
