Malin + Goetz Eucalyptus Hand & Body Scrub Review

[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I was at the launch event for the Malin + Goetz Eucalyptus Hand & Body Scrub and Body Gel last week – it was all the way over at Battersea Power Station and that’s not a London crossing I take lightly! They’ve got a very cute pop up Spa-Yurt (and can someone tell me why we are not calling it a Spurt?) where you can get a wonderfully soothing hand massage with the new products.

I’ll start with the Eucalyptus Smoothing Body Gel – 100% my kind of body product. The two together will form some of the best and most smoothing exfoliating you can experience – one is physical (the scrub) and the other is enzymatic (the gel) so it’s a double battle against dry and bumpy skin. As a head’s up, Peppermint is going and Eucalyptus is replacing so if you’re a Peppermint fan, stock up urgently! Eucalyptus is a bracing sort of a scent in the same way that Peppermint is so there will be no shortage of refreshing wake ups for your skin. In fact, eucalyptus has a cooling effect from real extracts that’s rather invigorating with 0.5% AHA for exfoliation. Added to that, the formula contains 2% urea for hydration and barrier boosting and 1% magnesium PCA for hydration.

A body gel with AHA is about as good as it gets – the lightness of texture means that you don’t get that kind of a ‘sweat’ that you can get with heavier body lotions and if you use it daily (or regularly) you’ll soon see the smoothing benefits as the AHA munches through dead cells.

As well as finely ground pumice for physical exfoliation, the Hand & Body Scrub also contains lactic acid so will really get to grips with bumpy and dry skin. You only need to use this a couple of times a week and unless you want to be so smooth you slide out of your bed, I’d suggest spot targeting and only using on the places that really need it such as the arms and thighs – both notorious KP hotspots.  As we know, really transforming your skin takes quite some time – it’s not going to happen overnight – so if you’re already booking holidays or dreaming of summer, now – or nearly now – is the time to start ensuring that your skin condition is how you want it to be. Body Gel is £38 HERE and the Scrub is £32 HERE. Of the two, I’d pick the Scrub because I think you’ll see faster results, but both together is optimal (but expensive). The peppermint body scrub is HERE.
