There is so much newness from MakeUp Rev that I’m going to break it all up into two.. possibly three posts… see how we go, but I think the products that are the most anticipated are the Makeup Revolution Salvation Palettes – five 18 shade palettes, each containing a mix of shimmer and matte shades. I can’t swatch all of them (I’ve never wished for more arms before now!) but have snapped each one.
Welcome To The Pleasuredome is a mix of neutral colours with a couple of vibrant colours and some deep, dark mysterious shades. With all the palettes, I’ve noticed the pigment is strong BUT, because Rev is a budget brand, I’d always advise using a primer to keep the colours for longer.
I’ve done quick pics of each one so you can see the names.. that was a long old job for someone – 18 x 5!
So, here’s Run Boy Run – again, neutrals, this time on the pink spectrum with some deeper, more complex shades at the end. I love that pink.
And, the names!
I did a sneaky Instagram of Dia De Los Muertos yesterday with a multicoloured skull on the packaging (you can just see the bottom in the corner of the pic). This time there are some very brights! And, Dia De Los Muertos is the one that I’ve swatched.
I don’t have enough arm for the whole palette… so below is the bottom row.
Leaving out the acid yellow, the matte neutrals in this palette are just beautiful – totally my colour palette.
And the names.
A super-smoky look for Girls On Film – moody neutrals for sultry eyes.
There are some very creative names here! Frenzy All Down Your Spine? Blimey.
And, the one we’ve all been waiting for, What You Waiting For? This is kind of my favourite of the Makeup Revolution Salvation Palettes – the colours are more gentle in the front half of the palette with touches of pink and the second half is deeper and more intense.
I’m not sure how much stock Makeup Rev has but I am putting money on it that these limited edition palettes sell out pretty quick! Especially at £6 each. They’ve literally just launched HERE.
