Matte palettes just won’t stop being a ‘thing’! The MakeUp Revolution Iconic Elements Palette is a stellar example of how to do mattes beautifully in a muted nude graduation from very light to very deep. There’s pretty much every single smoky nude look that you could possibly want in here; and there’s one single shimmer shadow just in case you want that little flash of light. It’s the third colour down if you start at the top of the palette in the picture above.

Swatch-wise, if you don’t know the Makeup Revolution formulas by now, these are soft, blendable and smooth – all 12 shades. If you consider that the MakeUp Revolution Iconic Elements Palette is £4, there’s no denying that it’s an absolute bargain.

I love affordable beauty – overpricing is one of the things I like least about the beauty industry – but with such good budget offerings, there’s no need to feel excluded from any and every makeup look. It’s launching on the Makeup Revolution site on Wednesday HERE.

Great review and swatches Jane thanks. I love my MUR 32 matte palette so I’m sure I will love this too and good idea to have one shimmer highlight xxxxx love vinny Littlemissstyleguru

Oh finally! I wanted an all matte palette from MUR but didn’t want the 32 palette. Jane can I ask how blenable these are on the lids?

Actually, I find them very blendable.. but some of the shades are really light so you have to like nuance or build them up x

  3. This shall be mine! It looks amazing. I’m 41 next month and finding my love of sparkly eyeshadow is fine up to the crease, but above that it shows up my slightly crepey skin so a compromise is a comin’. All the shimmery goodies on my eyelid, blended out with a matte.

I have the matte palatte and it’s been a God-send for my slightly crepey older eyes, so I will be looking out for this! I had given up on eyeshadow until you recommended the MUR brand a while ago and am so happy to have a wearable option again!
