Wow. 144 colours for £10, just reduced from £20. Even at twenty quid, I’d say this was a bargain. Strangely, for a make up lover, I’ve always avoided the huge palettes because my experience has been that bigger you go the less quality you get. I’ve seen some dreadful, dry old things with no pay-off – basically, coloured dust. But I know enough of MUR to know that’s not the case here. As a teenager, I would have given everything for this! As a grown-up, I’m seeing it from a different angle – experimentation.
It’s easy to get stuck in the same looks (I’m absolutely stuck in the black/brown/grey shadow thing) but who wants to lay out money on a palette with shades that are an adventure away from your usual routine. But experimenting with colours out of your normal routine is fun when it hasn’t hurt your wallet! I’m dying to wear a dark red eye – a la Rouge Noir (the shadow from that range is safer than it looks because it turns out a kind of russet shade rather than a deep wine, although I love the liner and the mascara) – but not sure yet if I could leave the house wearing it. If you’ve ever wondered if you can do the black shadow thing (I can, and do) or what you’d look like with blazing blue lids, it’s all here. The Makeup Revolution 144 Eyeshadow Palette is all the fun with none of the outlay; age is entirely irrelevant. You can find it HERE.
I’ve also noticed that the offers are starting on Makeup Revolution at Superdrug, including the advent and the chest. You can find them HERE.
