Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Stick Foundation

Another foundation tick right here with the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Stick Foundation. I have never known a stick foundation so good in the blending and this one sets new goal posts for any sticks.

I know it looks a little thick in the swatch, but believe me, it blends away to smooth coverage (you can make it heavier/lighter as you wish) and gave my skin a uniform look. Luckily, my sample shade is absolutely perfect for me (127=Y335) so I could get a very good idea of performance. The blurb says a ‘radiant’ finish – I say it errs to the side of matte more than anything. Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Stick Foundation is £29 (which seems pricy to me, no matter how good – it’s a stick) at Debenhams.

I was looking at this, as I want to get the concealer you suggested.

Wish you had a forum, so we can all chat to each other.

Thanks for your posts, they are very helpful

A forum is actually a really great idea! I don’t enjoy Makeup Alley :/

I’ve heard such great things about this foundation, especially for oily skin. This year I’m going to spend some more time checking out Makeup Forever!

    Hi Yasmine

It would be great to have a forum, I think Jane may be too busy, but would be good to chat to others that follow Jane

You’re right Junie – I would really struggle to run a forum and all that it entails but feel free to have conversations within the comment section here.. I moderate all comments and I’d be really happy with that. You also might want to both look at a Facebook site called MrsGoss&TheGloss.

    Hi Jane

I don’t do Facebook but yeah we can chat here, if anyone is interested in a forum , we could set it up and chat.

    But chatting here is good

    Thanks Jane

  6. I am eyeing this but can’t bear to part ways with my Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick! I’m on my second stick now and well, one stick can last forever!

  7. I just don’t think i could pay this price for a stick foundation, i guess i just love liquid foundations x

This reminds me of pan stik by maxfactor. Really lovely and last I saw it was £6.99 and often on 3 for 2. I hadn’t realised I’d been getting in on the contouring trend for years with those

I’m always on the hunt for a good stick foundation. Bobbi Brown is just too heavy for me and KIKO discontinued their version even though I’m still using it. I’m so lazy when it comes to applying foundation that I need the stick – thanks for this review!

I absolutely love this foundation! The texture, the coverage and the finish is divine! Sadly, try as I might there was no color match for me. My skin is NC20 with both yellow and pink undertones. This is not an uncommon skin tone, yet all the sticks are too yellow, not enough pink toned or neutral beige selections. Too bad. This could have been my holy grail! Thank you for the great post!

That sounds amazing. I love a good stick foundation. I’ll have to have a look for it at Sephora.
