Make Up For Asian Skin Tones: EX1

I posted a while back about EX1, a brand that is made with Asian, Middle/Far Eastern or Mediterranean skin tones in mind, and at the time it was hard to find. Now, it’s launched onto Look Fantastic which makes things a whole lot easier.

EX1 Blush

These are £7.99 each HERE. What’s special about them are the yellow and gold undertones used that mimic these skin tones and are pretty much impossible to find in regular brands.

It seems to be the foundations (and concealers) that are causing a stir – there are only five at present but from scooting round other blogs it seems these shades are very popular already. This foundation is oil-free, too, so it won’t exacerbate shine. It’s a snip at £10.50 HERE.

The concealers are £6.50 each HERE.

I wanted to revisit this brand because in the UK we do so badly for non-white tones – I haven’t yet seen a negative review other than the lack of choice of colours but I am sure more will come.

  1. Funny, I just saw the brand at Look Fantastic and HQhair and became curious. The swatches online look pretty yellow – exactly what I like. And the price is decent. As soon as one of my foundations will be empty I think I will give it a try…

  2. Chinwags and Tittle-Tattles

Fantastic! I’ll check them out. It’s quite difficult to find a matching shade for my Southeast Asian skintone. The best match for me was MAC studio tech compact which they discontinued. Thanks for this feature!
