[unpaid/sample] Now, bear with me (see what I did there 😉 because this palette is a big surprise. I love cute things but mainly Japanese influenced kawaii-like things – Winnie The Pooh doesn’t really hold any nostalgia for me although of course we were read the stories as children and I read them to my own. While Winnie didn’t particularly stick (don’t start me on the Wombles – a whole other thing entirely) and I’d never actively seek out merch, I am a bit smitten with this palette and not least because the quality bowled me over!
These are the most glidey, soft and pigmented shadows you could hope to find and that really was a surprise. And, it’s 16 shades for £15.
The shades look a bit lighter in the pans than they do on skin – I was even impressed with how well the gold glitter applied (be careful not to smoosh your brush into either than one or the lilac shade because they’re very soft). If you’re wearing a glitter eye, the chances are that it will gradually drop off over the evening (I didn’t surprise Mr BBB by sitting all through University Challenge looking like I was about to disco) and that’s probably the case here but fun for photos or the gram.
Each shade is one swipe with a brush – not even a little sponge applicator which I’m trying not to use – they’re not ‘perfected’ on my arm, just exactly as they came out before any blending. I think it’s pretty good.
The metallics in particular are giving an above average performance. Anyway, it’s HERE – a snip.
