I know I posted the MAC Trend Forecast Palette Fall 2015 when I got a sneaky peek backstage (HERE) but at the time I couldn’t do any swatches as the palettes were in full working mode for the shows and no makeup artist in the world is going to let you dab your fingers in them! Now, I have them here at home to swatch at leisure.
I’ve still got a rash on my arm – prickly heat, would you believe it, so please excuse the odd bump. So, in fact the MAC Trend Forecast Palette 2015 for lips hasn’t turned out to be as good as it looks in the palette. In fact, for MAC, I think some of the shades are a little bit shy. Other than a couple of the more milky shades, I really don’t think I’d wear any of the others.
In the picture above, shade are, from bottom to top: She Devil (glitter), Royal Ritual (glitter), Grand Canyon, Smoke Petal, Sweet Salmon and Ermine. I have no idea what you are supposed to do with a white gloss other than look like you haven’t rubbed in your lip balm properly. They’ve already launched for £35 HERE. Just going to ask the question though, given that the Trend Palettes are a collection of the ‘most talked about colours for next season’, bearing in mind that the palettes were up and ready for the AW15 shows, who was talking about them in the first place?
I’m really waiting for the Midnight Wells to launch…. cannot wait for that!
