It’s a long, long time since I used a MAC foundation of any kind so I wasn’t all that enthusiastic to try this one; much as I love MAC for innovation and colour, I never think of it for foundations. I actually cannot remember the last time I tried a waterproof foundation either.. from any brand.
However, the MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation was genuinely a pleasant surprise. I think I expected it to feel heavy, which, if you compare it directly to a tinted moisturiser for example, it does, but in terms of full coverage foundation, not at all. It’s got a 16 hour hold claim on it – on me it lasted very well indeed but I didn’t actually count the hours and my press release says that neither rain nor tears can move it! Just to flag up that if I ever have a 16 hour crying session, I’m not sure I’ll be worrying that my foundation is still in place. Although, reflecting on this, it could be a bonus because everything else will look so awful!
The composition is oil free and gives a satin effect finish – so a little bit of dew but not over-glow. The shade in the swatch is NC42, but the MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation also comes in NC15, NC20, NC25, NC30, NC35, NC42, NC45 and NC50, as well as NW15, NW20, NW30, NW35, NW40, NW45 and NW50 It’s priced at £25.50 and it’s HERE.

I’d be prepared to put money down to bet that you won’t have experienced a skin care texture like this before...
