The Full Face Kit in Desert Camouflage, £37, is one piece from the multi-dimensional Carine Roitfeld MAC Collection. It’s pretty near to perfect for my skin tone and contains four eye shades and one cream blush. The whole collection launches in October. Carine was editor in chief of Vogue Paris until last year. She has a very distinctive look which has variously been called ‘tired on purpose’ and ‘rock chick’ depending upon how you view it.

Under the top layer is a cream blush in Sand Storm.
The thing that is taking my fancy though is the set of Good Luck star stencils. Too sweet but rather expensive at £15.

That palette is pretty much minimalist perfection. I wonder how obvious the shimmer is.
I love these smoky natural colour, they’re so wearable. I’m always looking for natural matte taupe eye colours, so this is perfect.
