Mabelline Stipped Nudes aka The Buffs
Maybelline Stripped Nudes are the UK version of the US The Buffs collection. While some of the shades look strikingly similar, they’re not named or numbered the same and without access to The Buffs, it’s impossible to tell. What the common theme is though, is a very strong nude lip line-up.
There are five shades in the Stripped Nude Collection. Starting from the far end, we have: Naked Brown (757), Tantalizing Taupe (727), Sultry Sand (710), Coffee Craze (740) and Honey Beige (728).
And as swatches, from near to far: Sultry Sand, Naked Brown, Honey Beige, Tantalizing Taupe and Coffee Craze. These all work well with a smoky eye but Sultry Sand is SO pale I can’t even suggest a way to wear it. The rest, however, are pretty easy for a classic black smoky/nude lip look.
Mabelline Stipped Nudes are £6.99 each – not sure of launch date but since it looks like the major retailers just launch whenever they feel like it, keep your eyes peeled! NB: Commenters have let me know that they are already out in some Boots stores.
