[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] It was a sunny weekend and the beauty calendar dictates it’s time for self-tan testing. On Sunday I tried Loving Tan, an Australian born sunless tan brand founded in 2010 by Joanne Hinton although I see now that the brand has taken significant investment from VC firm, Gauge Capital. I’m a good candidate for self-tan testing because often they contain an ingredient that’s an irritant to my skin (I’m not sure what) and I end up with dry patches.

Loving Tan Face Tanning Serum Review

Happily, there was no reaction to Loving Tan Face Tanning Serum. As you can see in the above picture, it comes out very dark looking. I actually prefer having a guide colour in self tan although it didn’t stop me getting from not properly working in a small patch on my eyebrow, but that’s a lesson-to-self for next time. It’s formulated with organic ingredients – Australia is very hot on organics although if it’s not entirely organic, I’m not sure I see the point, particularly as a ‘healthy’ sell. The serum contains chamomile, cacao and elderflower extracts, isn’t in the least drying and works like a charm after a few hours. The tan it gives (I have shade Medium) is very natural looking – golden rather than deeply tanned – and perfect for my winter sallow olive tone.

Loving Tan Face Tanning Serum Review

This is exactly the look I wanted – I’m only wearing SPF, Loving Tan and my (newly) beloved Chanel Coralline lipstick HERE along with some gold/bronze liner. It’s a life-long ambition to achieve that South of France insouciance and maybe I’ve got some way to it here. Loving Tan Face Tanning Serum is £30.95 HERE (it’s more expensive than I thought it would be).
