LoveAroma Home Fragrancing

I’m fascinated by the stats around home fragrancing – candles in particular. On the one hand, you are literally burning your money, on the other, it’s such an irrisistible way to do so! Last year, £90 million was spent on luxury candles – oh… my…. goodness! That is a LOT of scented candles. This year, for the UK market alone, sales are expected to hit £63 million. There’s no denying that we love a fragranced candle based on those figures.

I’m pretty sure our love of home fragrancing is down to the Jo Malone effect – one of the first brands to really corner that luxury market. When I worked at Beautyexpert several years ago, one of the absolute rules was that you couldn’t have a candle that cost more than £28 because nobody would pay it. Now, a £100 candle isn’t that unusual. So, we’ve accepted that decent home fragrancing comes at a price, and also that fragrancing your home is a luxurious and desirable thing to do. The candle and diffuser above were sent to me by lovearoma.co.uk and the reason I’m highlighting it is that currently, we’re a bit short on single-destination sites that you can choose niche and known brand candles – the more the merrier in the current climate I think. I’ve picked out Pairfum Snow Crystal Candle in Orangerie Blossom (£22.49 HERE) – it’s a Brit brand and comes with a snow texture – the wax actually glistens like icy snow – and it’s not in a plain glass. The scent is gentle, it won’t overpower your room but because the fragrances are entirely aromatherapy oils, and orange is a happy maker, it’s just going to add to it. Next on the list to try is Lavender & Linen.

The Reed Diffuser from StoneGlow (£17.10 HERE) is also a Brit brand – and this one is punchy. It’s the freshest grapefruit, floral fragrance and is heading straight to my bathroom so when I’m bleary eyed and brushing my teeth, there’s something gorgeous to greet me.

LoveAroma will also gift wrap – so that’s a few birthdays already sorted without having to even leave the house. I’ve just spotted that there is a 25% off sale on some items (if you’re a Yankee fan, you’ll be happy).

  1. I am a massive scented candle, reed diffuser fan, I have one of each in every room. I love the sound of these and that fragrance is ideal for the summer x

  2. Really staggering figures on the worth of the candle market! I definitely contribute to that, I can’t resist a lovely candle! I’ll happy spend between £15-£30 on a candle, although I am a LONG way off spending £100 per candle, I need to win the lottery first I think!

Love candles, but not a fan of the Reed things.

I wait until SpaceNK has a sale and go grab candles. Their own brand ones are great, currently burning Cambridge which I bought for £8.50 instead of £35. Diptyque candles are beyond gorgeous.

Definitely a Diptyque addict – I’ve tried to branch out but to no avail, I always go crawling back to my faves.

Long-term lover of BBB – thank you for all your fantastic reviews, which make for great reading every morning :o)!!

And how delighted am I to see you recommend a brand which is owned and run by very dear friends of ours at Pairfum.

I endorse your recommendation, these products are made with much love and care; the fragrance combinations are spectacular. And it’s not just about the fragrances, the products are packaged to become beautiful centerpieces wherever they are located in your home!

They have a beautiful website listing all of their products from candles to sprays, diffusers to toiletries – feel free to take a look: http://www.pairfum.com/
