L’Oreal Paris Miss Manga Punky Mascara

Woah… hang on! The L’Oreal Paris Miss Manga Punky Mascara looks very, very interesting indeed. It’s a ‘texturising’ mascara formula that allows you to style your lashes Mohawk.

I honestly cannot wait to see if this really works a la the L’Oreal Paris Instagram pictures or whether we’ll all be struggling with a kind of disasterous clump fest. The suggested advice to achieve the Mohawk lash is to use twirl the tip gently against the lashes to ‘twist’ them together and create a perfectly punky style.

In theory, if it does give the results shown, it’s one of the most exciting mascaras ever. I suspect you could probably do this look if you have very much patience with any mascara, but I have scant information on this so until I get more details of the formula, it’s not a given.

L’Oreal Paris Miss Manga Punky Mascara launches in the UK at the end of February (but eagle eye’d readers have spotted it already HERE at Boots.com if you want to get punky early!)

Maybelline lash stylist used to give this kind of effect to my lashes, tho not as exaggerated! Like in this pic. http://c0248141.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspacecloud.com/GOTI_05013_0059132A.JPG

Didn’t have to twirl the tip or anything, The comb had criss cross shape that clumped the lashes together with even separation

  3. I can’t decide whether this is bonkers or brilliant.

I could be wrong but I am sure I saw this in one of my local superdrug stores today, I will have to go back in tomorrow to double check
I am tempted to try it out as I did enjoy the original Miss Manga Mascara

  5. It’s quite cool, but I’m not sure I’d love my lashes to look like that!

  6. Well, I’ll give them points for being original, not sure if it is really wearable

  8. То me this is totally fake lashes… I get that “look” each time I walk out of the bathroom – my lashes tend to clump together when wet. But even though they are pretty long and dense they can never look like that. Fake.

It is already available at Boots and Superdrug!! Seen it in stores on Saturday!

Reminds me of Alex/Malcolm McDowell in Clockwork Orange

  11. Donna

Yes Clockwork Orange and 60s. Not for me.

  12. I own it, and I can safely say this does NOT create this effect on my lashes, sadly, and I really, really wanted it to…

I bought this mascara yesterday and I used it this morning and it Does Not give you Clockwork Orange eyelashes shown in the advert!! I love the effect though! I will definitely buy this mascara again, I love how it fans out my lashes and is a lovely pure black colour, I would recommend you buy this when it’s on offer, Just incase you don’t like the effect it gives your lashes 😀

  14. Very interesting! I do love the original Miss Manga.

I’m reporting back! I always use a primer on my lashes and didn’t bother when trying this. With the primer though, it IS slightly magical. If you don’t like spidery lashes, this isn’t for you. It IS an amazing formula though, and it’s firmly in my top ten mascaras now. My natural lashes are pants and this definitely gives them spikey definition in super black.

Btw, Jane, I can’t find the video. Can you please link as i’m dying to get some pointers. I’m willing to study to achieve the cartoon eyes.

    1. Jane

okay, that’s great and thank you so much for reporting back! that’s very helpful. I don’t think there is a video?

      1. Lydia

Oh, I misread, I thought there was some sort of tutorial, and I tried to find it on their instagram and I came up with nowt. I have been applying and reapplying this, and obviously according to law, you’re not allowed to fake lash looks so I imagine the model must have epic lashes anyway, whereas mine are pathetic, so perhaps its just not doable in quite such a way for me. Either way I like it though!

  18. Suzy

I wouldn’t like my lashes to look like that to be honest! However, the regular Miss Manga doesn’t give me the clumped look in the advert (which I don’t like!) either so I would probably still try this! xx

Got this mascara from superdrug the other day! It’s amazing best results I have ever seen! Love, love, love it!
