L’Oreal Paris has gripped the swimming pool hue trend by the horns and really gone for it with two new coloured mascaras and an aqua blue liner.
I love a coloured mascara but only to tip the edges of blackened lashes – I can’t really do it as a whole lash look, I think I’m past being able to carry that off! But it’s a good tip for older women who want to do something a little different with mascara – and it makes people look at your eyes quite intensely because they can’t quite work out what’s different!
L’Oreal Paris Miss Punky LinerThe new L’Oreal Paris Miss Punky Super Liner follows the same mermaidy, aqua theme and when I Instagrammed this it got a hugely positive response. And there was me thinking it was just another liner!
As you can see, to get the full aqua blue you do need to shake the tube up a bit.. my first attempt was a darker, less metallic pigmented blue and my second was the full impact. I wish someone would invent the Max Factor liner flat wand as a separate accessory so that I could use it with any liner to get those perfect lines. As it is, this is just a little too narrow in the nib for me to be sure of a perfect result. It doesn’t budge, either so getting it off would be a faff.
The L’Oreal Paris Miss Punky Mascara is £8.99, as is the Liner and both are Superdrug exclusives. I’ve spotted the blue shade HERE but no sign yet of the green or the liner.
