L’Oreal Paris La Palette Nude

I’m so pleased to lay eyes on this at last! I’ve tried to buy it in five different Boots stores and it had sold out completely, so I’m glad a sample has turned up. L’Oreal Paris La Palette Nude Rose is really a perfect nude palette for those who like their nudes without bronze tones and a shed of glimmer. The colour selection stays firmly in the pink spectrum and actually reminds me of Ellis Faas colours where tones are lead by colours you’d naturally find on the human body – bit bruisy in some places but all the more beautiful for it.

The shades aren’t named individually but I’ve swatched in order from bottom to top. The fourth shade is my favourite – it’s a matte texture and an amazing base colour for a natural smoky look. None of the colours are super-shimmery – but some have a metallic element to them.

The textures are all very smooth and easily blendable – the second from final colour though looks very deep in the pan but it’s a light grey in the swatch, otherwise they all run pan true once on the skin. It’s £14.99 (but on a 3 for 2 offer at Boots right now) HERE.

I’d like to see more L’Oreal Paris palettes like this – I think the brand does palettes really well and L’Oreal Paris La Palette Nude has become an instant contender for nude palette fans. With colours working out at about £1.50 each, it’s pretty good value, too.

  1. I bought this ten days ago. It’s okay…found it hard to build colour and there’s quite a bit of fall-out on applying. I’ll use it, but I have better nude palettes.

  2. Ooh how many eyeshadow palettes is too many? Actually don’t answer that! This looks lovely but when I swatched this, a few of the colours barely show up on my skin tone, so probably good for paler tones than me.

I bought it the 1st day it came out even though there was no tester on display (and no swatches on BBB!). I’m glad I didn’t open it as when I finally found a tester & swatched the shadows I didn’t think they were anything special and the pay-off was really so-so. Even at such a cheap price it would have been a waste so I returned it… UD Naked quality it’s not!
