L’Oreal Paris Color Riche L’Extraordinaire

Okay, so the name is a bit of a mouthful but my heart went boom when I tried the L’Oreal Paris Color Riche L’Extraordinaire glosses. I didn’t even expect to like them to be honest, but they’re such a rush of colour to the lip – and so light on the lip for a gloss that I’m hooked. L’Oreal Paris Color Riche L’Extraordinaire glosses aren’t weightless; there is a tiny bit of tack to them but they’re giving a lot of gloss for not a lot of stickiness.

In terms of colour, L’Oreal Paris Color Riche L’Extraordinaire are mid point in saturation, I’d say – not pigment packed like OCC – but certainly have a lot of depth of colour. The formula is an oil and pigment mix and L’Oreal talk about ‘magnified’ colour – that description certainly resonates and to me, seems accurate because the colours are somehow ‘more’. The oils used, by the way, are Argan, Lotus flower, Camelia Seed and Rose Canna so the claim is that you get balm qualities from a gloss.

To the shades, from right to left: Rouge Soprano (301), Rose Symphony (201), Nude Vibrato (600), Malto Mauve (500), Ruby Opera (304) and Tangerine Sonate (204). L’Oreal Paris Color Riche L’Extraordinaire glosses are launching this month (they may already be in some stores) for £6.99 each – stellar price for a gloss that behaves like premium glosses do – better, in fact.

  1. I heard about these from a couple of Youtubers & was hoping they’d be over here soon! I’m going into town this afternoon so fingers crossed they’ll already be out.

  2. I can’t wait to try these, they look lovely – thanks for sharing 🙂 xx

It’s a bit of an obvious comparison but, how do they compare to YSL’s Glossy Stain, in your opinion? x

    1. Jane

Glossy stain is lighter on the lip I think.. there isn’t really a stain element to these x

I see, thanks for the info x

Oh gosh they look amazing! I didn’t mind their glossy stain style product last year, they were ok, they didn’t wow me even though I wanted to. I feel like these might, I want some!

I’m really getting to a point where I go ‘I do have this particular shade in about 10 different formulas, do I need it again?’ but the answer is always yes… very concerning 😉

Definitely think I will be getting at least a couple of these. They are in the store I work in and so Monday, I think these will be added to my collection.

Hi Jane, do you know if they are planning to add more shades in the future(like in the US)? thanks x

    1. Jane

Yes, I am sure they are.. I don’t have all the shades, just a selection to show x
