I’ve got to admit to being totally swayed by the fabulous visuals from L’Oreal for their summery colours. However, since I completely fell in love with the Infallible Eyeshadows from last season, there is plenty to tempt me alongside the gorgeous pictures.
I particularly like the Glam Shine Fresh Glosses (there are some in a 6 hour formula as well) in surprise shades Aqua Curacao (light blue) and Aqua Lemon Tonic (yellow). They’re slightly irridescent and very, very sheer so you won’t end up with blue or yellow lips although there is a teeny hint of the shades. Obviously, they’re not going to be for everyone, but are surprisingly wearable on the right tones. They’re priced at £7.65 each and launch in May.

Years ago, Clinique used to have a yellow gloss that added a hint of gold shimmer over other lipsticks, and a blue one that added a silvery sheen. Maybe these will do the same as I was gutted when they stopped making them, they were a Makeup Artist’s secret weapon and had a cult following!
Hmm, well I have Sleek’s Lemon Meringue Pout Polish, which is a similar yellow. To be honest I just use the Sleek one as a lip conditioner, as it’s quite sheer in a small amount. Sometimes I put it on at work without a mirror though, and customers give me funny looks… I’ve never tried out a blue before though, maybe it will be in my reckless purchase drawer soon!
I have to say, I’m quite taken with the blue one. Looks like cocktails. I’ll have a Del Boy please?!? ;o)
