I’ll say straight away that I haven’t even see the L’Objet Birdcage Candle in real life – but I’m kind of obsessed with it as an ornamental piece, never mind a candle. At £90, it’s at the high end, but on the other hand, I feel like I could look at it all day. The brand is L’Objet, who make their pieces from Limoges porcelain and 24K gold detailing, so I guess that would account for all the ££s. However, I’m also thinking – wedding present! It’s so difficult to buy for weddings and I don’t like to be the person that adds to a hugely expensive dinner service on the wedding list and all I can afford is a couple of side plates! As someone who got the most beautiful Villeroy & Boch dinner service set piecemeal as several wedding gifts – we hardly ever use it. It’s kind of ‘too’ special, so it languishes in a cupboard.
You’ll also notice in my sidebar that there is a Luxury Candle ‘shop’ that I’m trialling as a possible alternative to affiliate links. So if you click on the Birdcage Candle there, it’s a one-stop thing – you don’t need to click anywhere else to purchase it. At this stage it’s just a trial, but I keep thinking that there has to be a better and more obvious way than traditional aff links so I’m giving it a go.
Finally, L’Objet has some beauties in their candle range – I’ve used the Elephant Candle in the header pic, but there’s a leopard one too. With all of them, once the candle has burned away, they’re trinket jars.
