So autumn 2012 is shoring up to be the biggest lipstick season we’ve ever seen. It is so ALL about lips. Brands without a strong nail line are totally having to up their game in the lip stakes to gain any attention at all.
Poppy King, famous for being the Lipstick Queen, has got me in a twizzle of wanting with this boxed trio, Liptropolis: The Story Of Lipstick In The City. It’s a gorgeous concept with lipsticks named for various parts of New York and the book-like box they’re held in tying in with the story theme. In fact, while we were chatting, I wanted to know how she would jazz it up for Christmas because Christmas in New York is an iconic festive fantasy. She didn’t have any plans for a Christmas jazzle but we chatted more and she’s going to look into having the outer sleeve dotted with snowflakes. I die.
The three lipsticks are Soho – a blazing red with a shot of pink, Upper East – an elegant nude and Central Park which is a chic peach.

I do love LQ lipsticks. Still waiting for “Sigh” which was an LE as part of the Butterfly Ball range and only available on QVCUS. Still these look great, whilst I like her range for No7 I prefer her LQ stand alone range. Thanks for this.
Where is the pigment? Looks like boring regular Avon lipstick
I love Poppy King’s lip colours. It started when I got the chance to try Medieval, her tinted lip treatment, and that was it. I was hooked!
So exciting to see Poppy achieving more success with Lipstick Queen after starting out in Australia so many years ago! Aussie Aussie Aussie!
After growing up with her first brand ‘Poppy’ I am excited to try this trio. Thanks for sharing!

WANT. Sadly, these kind of limited edition packs don’t seem to make it to Australia. Even though Lipstick Queen is Australian 🙁 feeling rather taken for granted.
