Letter To Sally Hansen

Dear Sally Hansen,

It’s really very frustrating to see the gorgeous Nail Effects splashed over every single US beauty blog, in all the US beauty magazines and tucked tidily and temptingly on your own US website. 

When you decide which country gets which product, why leave out the UK? What’s wrong with our nails? 

Sally, girl to girl, you seem like a reasonable person. You must know what it’s like to want striped nails and not be able to have them? 

There was a tantalising rumour that you were trialling Nail Effects in a UK high street store, but as that turns out disappointingly not to be true, how are we to get hold of them?


If you haven’t somehow kept ahead of the trends in countries outside of the US, you might be surprised to hear that the UK has never had such a nail moment. Ever. We are all about the nails right now.

So, come on, let’s have them. Now would be good.

    A colleague of mine says that Incoco are far better than the Sally Hansen. I’ve just sneakily bought some on eBay and they’re in my hands now ready to try out! Again, they don’t currently sell in the UK 🙁

    Here here, thanks for posting this. I sent SHUK an email via their comment form on their UK website months ago and no response. I wrote to them because I wanted to buy the new Salon Manicure range because the colours are so pretty but they didn’t respond and all I can find are the nail treatment products in Argos etc.

    I want the Salon effects too but they’re only on Ebay and I refuse to buy from there because the prices are maked up too high (from the listings I’ve seen).

    One of the colours in the Salon Manicure range I really wanted is Yellow Kitty, its being discontinued and with the Royal Mail & US mail prohibited items on nail polish shipping I can get it.

    I even contacted Sally Hansen’s US website to complain that the UK customer service didn’t respond to my email and received no reply from them either. They don’t care and so I refused to buy any SH products. I’m finding better and more affordable alternatives.

    Hey Ladies …My local Asda store has these wondeful salon effects nail strips. They only stock 3 styles the gold the pink and the lace. So try your Asda or ask if they can get them for you!
    they are fab by the way!
