Ok, well as promised, I’m working my way through the Le Metier de Beaute make up that was sent my way after a few misguided rogue comments posted on here by Anonymous upset everyone. Overall, I’m impressed with the pigmentation quality, adored the gloss (which I’ll post about separately), didn’t love the concealer or the lipstick – only because they don’t seem to be anything particularly special and for a premium priced brand, feel they should be. But the stand out pieces for me are Anamorphic Mascara and Radiance Powder Rouge. Anamorphic gives lashes the prettiest smoky fluff-up; I’ve got so used to expecting mascara to give me ‘towering’ or ‘patent’ or ‘false’ effects that I forgot what colossal-free lashes actually look like! Anamorphic manages to make lashes look almost soft focus, plumper, well defined and jet-black, and better yet lasted pretty well all day with no flaking. Radiance Powder Rouge is a powder blush – the one I was sent is in colour Echo – a goldish peach that looks very, very natural on the cheeks. It needed one touch up during the day, but because the pigments are so good, this blush would probably last a very long time; you need to apply so little to get good coverage. I loved the packaging; a matt black that looks almost rubberised, and the mascara is, unusually, in a clear tube, meaning you can keep an eye on how much is left. £24.
