I’ve been meaning to do the PVA glue test as a peel-off undercoat for nails for ages, and this product has finally spurred me on to do it. While I am pretty sure it’s got a PVA element to it, Striptease turns out to be much better than the cheaper option of real PVA.

As you can see, it looks a lot like PVA!

I’ve put two coats of DIOR Delice after letting the base coat dry really thoroughly.

And sure enough, it comes off pretty much in one coat, although not as cleanly as I would have hoped. I then did exactly the same thing using straight PVA glue.

But, as you can see, it wasn’t nearly as effective. I’d be happy to use either method though under heavy glitter polish because just about anything beats the misery of trying to get sparkle particles off. But, LCN Striptease definitely came out the winner over straight PVA in terms of ease and peeling.

Am I imagining it or do Orly do a base coat like this? I’m sure I’ve seen someone else do it and yes, it’s pretty much a PVA glue base. Must try it out for glitter polish for sure. However, do you think the base coat would make polish come off by itself more easily therefore shortening the lifespan of your manicure?
I normally use a base coat (Rimmel Strengthener) , 2 coats of polish and Seche Vite and mine peels off easily haha I’d love to buyi nto the gimmick of a peel of base coat but even glitter polishes I can peel off fairly easily 🙂
Same here Stephanie – Seche Vite makes most polishes peel off, esp glitter!
