Laura Mercier Essential Art Eye & Cheek Palette
Laura Mercier Essential Art Eye & Cheek Palette

Remember when you didn’t have to do your Christmas shopping in October? On-line retail has changed everything – the number of things I am seeing selling out before most of us are even thinking about winter is incredible and more so this year than ever. The Laura Mercier Iconics Chest (below) is already listing low stock (it’s HERE).

However, the SpaceNK exclusive Laura Mercier Essential Art Eye & Cheek Palette hasn’t yet launched (26th October). You need the skills of a detective to track down the things you really want to get your hands on! Anyway…

As you can see, there are 8 eye shades (Posh Plum, Steal Pink, Graphite, Etoile, Fresco, Morning Dew, Butter Cream and Sapphire) and two Baked products – one highlight and one blush.

As you can see, it’s nude based – more matte than shimmers but a little sparkle if you want it and the navy is one of those rare blues that doesn’t shift green. The bottom two swatches are the baked blush (very shimmery) and the highlight (a bit dusty). I like the shadow section but I’m not that fond of baked colours – they always seem too powdery and dry to me. I can see the nude smoky looks you can create with this and love that there is a dash of silver in there – and I always love a decent navy shadow. The leopard print exterior does make the Laura Mercier Essential Art Eye & Cheek Palette feel like something special but I wish it wasn’t so neutral – it feels like a safe bet colour collection (so, I suppose, absolutely ideal for gifting) and it will be £49 when it hits.

I’ve got plenty more LM bits and bobs so I’ll try to get those uploaded next week.
