I’ve found a not-so-little price discrepancy for this gorgeous red patent vanity case stuffed with a mix of full and trial size Lancome beauty products. On the Selfridges website, it costs £50 HERE, and on the Boots website, it costs £80! And it’s exactly the same thing. I’ve done a little digging and while Lancome can only recommend RRP, I believe it was recommended that when consumers purchase £30 of Lancome products, they could buy the Beauty Box for £50. Selfridges have circumvented that recommendation and dropped the necessary £30 purchase, while Boots have added the £30 to the overall cost. The very cheek of it! An eagle-eye’d BBB reader also spotted..wait for it… that it is £160 at House Of Fraser! What are they thinking? So, I have a sneaky feeling that one or other will make an amendment so if you’re after it for a Christmas gift at the £50 price – why wouldn’t you be? – I suggest you go right now just in case the amendment is up not down! It’s HERE.

Looks like it would make a lovely gift for Christmas. I’ve never had one of the Lancome bumper sets, but I bought the Estée Lauder one last year. I hate to say it but the eyesdadows, blushes and brushes in the Estée Lauder set were well below their usual standard. I’m wary of the bumper gifts now because of that. Hopefully the Lancome one is different!
It’s a lovely red vanity case, that would look cute on any dressing table and with so many little goodies, you can’t go wrong :o). Xx
ooh i’m interested but confused by the blush – on the lancome website, blush subtil 02 rose sable shows as just a blusher – but the image depicts a bronzer/blusher/highlight trio. any chance you can find out whether we would get the blush subtil or the trio, and if the latter, what the shade is? 🙂
Its as pictured. Its the blush subtil palette in nectar lace
I got it yesterday! It is my fourth Lancome Christmas Beauty Box- and these pallettes are gorgeous, not sold separately. Great collector items!
hi! as you’ve already got it, does the box include the blush as mentioned, or the bronzer/blush/highlight trio as pictured? 🙂
The eyeshdaow shades are lovely!
£160 in house of Fraser! http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Lancôme+Lancome+Beauty+Box/191986135,default,pd.html
OMG..you are right.. going to add that into the post right now!
It may be cynical but I can see this being one of Boots weekly ‘half price’ special offers, its that technique supermarkets use all the time – raise the price so the discount seems like a better deal. It is a lovely set though.
I love the blush/bronzer/highlighter! I wish they would sell it separately.
It’s £50 at Debenhams aswell, although there you get a £10 gift card when you spend £50 and free shipping. Trying my best not to buy a second item to go with it just to get the free GWP, i’m a sucker for those.
Out of stock on Selfridges site now!
Oh what a lovely idea for Christmas indeed!
Hi Pippa- it is exactly as pictured, Blush Subtil Palette, not blush only (like in the case of last year’s box).
thanks so much! do you have the shade name? 🙂 x
