Lancome Fall 2010: French Coquettes

Rose Absolu

Ombre Absolute Palette
Ombre Magnetique Cherry Cherie

Ombre Magnetique Black Macadam

Le Vernis Bloody Black Cherry
Le Vernis Metropolitan Beige
With inspiration taken from three iconic women – Kiki de Montparnasse, Sarah Bernhardt and Edith Wharton, Aaron de Mey’s collection for Lancome is all about emancipation – freedom, if you like, to be confident with how you look. He’s used vampish cherry reds as the core shade.

Probably the most special products in the collection are the Ombres Magnetiques that use next-generation textures and coated pearl pigments. The pearl pigments make up 40% of the formula – that is some dazzle! And, Lancome claims it will last for up to 24 hours. It’s available in three shades; Cherry Chérie, Urban Silver and Black Macadam. I’m also really keen to try the Hypnose Cherry Beading Top Coat (not pictured)that gives lashes an intense cherry colour with flashes of silver.

It’s available from Harvey Nichols on 20th August, and nationwide from 1st September.
