La Roche Posay Eau Micellaire Ultra

[productsample/affiliate] If ever there was a lesson in reading the press release (if there actually is one, which often these days, there isn’t) before taking pictures, this is it! So I’ll say ahead that the smallest bottle isn’t a retail product – it’s included as a special travel size for the product send out. Really though, it’s a very handy size and should be a retail product for holidays and so on – its very probably coming with me when I head off to Spain in a couple of weeks for a long weekend.

La Roche Posay Eau Micellaire Ultra

The timing is excellent as I love a micellar for a TV cleanse (yes, lazily cleansing while I watch TV on the sofa because I can’t be bothered to go upstairs and do the whole routine) and my Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief Micellar is down to its very last drops. I find micellars absolutely fine for an end of day cleanse – it takes off any remaining make up (although might struggle with waterproof mascara) and leaves my skin feeling clean and supple. I wouldn’t turn to a micellar to do a full-on make up removal if I didn’t just have the very last vestiges of it though – I think you need a balm to cut through the heavy stuff. La Roche Posay’s micellars are amongst the nicest – this one is aimed at sensitive skin with no alcohol, soap or colourants and at an optimal pH so it’s a really easy cleanse that works well with my reusable cotton make up remover pads (HERE) and with cotton wool. You barely need to take your eyes away from Bake Off.

Escentual has 20% off so it’s best to head there if you’re in need of a top up – 400ml is £16.50 before discount (use Escentual20 at check out) HERE so it’s great value.
