This is such a fabulous set from Frontcover who have upped their game by collaborating with designer Kristian Aadnevik. Taking trend shades from the catwalks of fashion week showing Spring/Summer 2014, I’m bowled over by the value for money on the Kristian Aadnevik for Front Cover case. The mock-croc gold pouch that holds the all the make up and brushes even has a little gold studded strap.

If you don’t know Kristian Aadnevik’s work, he’s a young designer who has created dresses for Rihanna, Selena Gomez and Beyonce to name but a few – the colours in the Frontcover pouch are very true to his palette for the SS14 runway. So, of all the times, the eye quad is the most impressive – they’re baked powders which I don’t normally like, but oh my goodness! The payoff! They’re also incredibly soft – baked shadows have become so different to the hard little domes they used to be. Frontcover baked formula contains a macadamia oil derivative to improve the glide – and no, they don’t feel at all oily to me. I’ve swatched everything above: the first four shades are from the eye palette, then there’s the blush, followed by the lipstick (which is, I think, the world’s smallest lippie – it’s diddy!).

Although all the products are tucked neatly into the casing, they all pull out so they can be used separately and independently. The blush is a pale, silky pink and the nail polish is a grey/mushroom shade.

Even the brushes have the mock croc detailing, although if I have one slight critique, it’s that the brushes aren’t the most amazing quality. I’m reluctant to criticise however, because they do an adequate job, without doing a brilliant job. But considering you get this entire kit for £29.50, including the cast, the standard of everything is miraculous. However, it’s the palette I’m totally smitten with and I’d probably pay £29.50 for that on its own! The kit includes a mini lipstick, mascara, blush, nail polish, two eye brushes and one cheek brush. It’s on pre-order HERE.

I’ve got a few more Frontcover looks to cover, but if you have yet to discover the brand, there are a few bargains on their site right now.
