Kiehl’s Creme de Corps

I know it’s really immature but this is always Creme de Corpse in my head. However, I recently revisited this legendary body cream and it really is one of the very best there is. Just two days of using morning and evening and my skin is absolutely silky soft. There is not a trace of dryness anywhere.

I read some reviews of the product on the Kiehl’s US site and a common complaint seems to be the fragrance, which I don’t find offensive at all.. in fact, it doesn’t really seem to smell of anything much at all. The consistency is light; it sinks into the skin quickly and doesn’t leave any trace of heaviness or oiliness at all and yet, it still gives a power packed result.

If you haven’t tried it yet, it is a strong recommend from me, and remember, it’s been going for 40 years which is pretty amazing. It isn’t cheap but a little goes a long way and it is packed with Beta Carotene, Cocoa Butter and Sesame Oil. You can buy a small bottle to test with for £8.50, so your outlay isn’t too big, but it’s quite addictive.

As an end note, not sure who has been writing the Kiehl’s site for the UK, but I’m not certain “continued use for 10 days will provide skin a texture heretofore unattainable” is actually English. Its next description certainly isn’t; “Qualite Internationale!”.

  1. It might be a great benefit for the skin, but for me it smells like a strong coconut cocktail. Not my cuppa

I better mind my words because a lot of my friends love this, and would slam me for saying this haha.

Ah don’t do this to me, I’ve just convinced myself that the Ganier 7 day moisture lotions are good enough for me and my wallet. Mind you, creme de corpse………not what I want smother all over my body.

I thought the exact same thing about it’s description on the website! Very strange! Like something you’d read on strawberrynet!

I’ve actually just rediscovered this myself. It’s ridiculously pricey out here in Dubai, so I picked up a bottle when I was last in the UK a few weeks ago and just started using it again last weekend. My skin is super soft but it LOOKS good too – I know the world is overused but it really is glowing. I wish I’d bought a bigger bottle now…

  6. Ok, ok…I’ll try it!! Ha ha 🙂
