I’ve been having a proper swatch-fest recently and was intrigued by the roller-ball applicator on the Kevyn Aucoin Loose Shimmer powders. While I loved the Aucoin lip gloss, this one is a no-no from me. The colours are gorgeous, but the roller-ball applicator is clumsy and slighly to big for the lid, so it means you then have to blend down with a brush – which totally defeats the object, I think. You can see from the swatch that the roller system doesn’t give a uniform delivery; nice idea that didn’t quite work.

The colours shown above are Topaz (gold), Amethyst (pink) and Lapis (blue).
