I’ve been meaning to swatch Kevyn Aucoin gloss and matte lipstick for such a long time and now I’ve got to it, I’m so glad I did.
Kevyn Aucoin The Lipgloss is a thing of delight.. a really light formula with minimal stickiness but a high sheen without being too wet-looking. This particular shade, Hydraa, has a lot of shimmer in it – it’s a really sweet and pretty pink that will suit just about everyone I should think and it smells pleasantly, but not over-bearingly fruity.
The Kevyn Aucoin Matte Lip Colour is a dream for matte lovers – really high on pigment and that particular matte that doesn’t look like you’ve immediately syphoned off all the moisture in your lips. It’s got a good stain effect as well so wear-off isn’t quite so obvious. The lipstick also has a fruity scent and the shade swatched here is Timeless, a soft orange.
Legendary make-up artist, Kevyn Aucoin sadly died in 2002, although he began the Kevyn Aucoin make-up line in 2001 and this was in the days before ‘celebrity make-up artists’. I don’t know who now owns his make-up line but I’d like to think it is a good reflection of Kevyn’s original concept. Cultbeauty.co.uk have a small selection, but there is a much larger choice at Spacenk.

I’d be prepared to put money down to bet that you won’t have experienced a skin care texture like this before...
